Why should I invest in Whisky?
Unlike other products, whisky increases in value the longer it is held, whisky, whilst not a commodity, has a readily accessible national and international market. Malt Vault (S) PTE LTD only deals with the finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky which is regarded highly amongst the local and international brewing and distilling industry as producing premium quality Single Malt Whisky. Currently the demand for Single Malt Whisky significantly exceeds the production of Scotch whisky – and this is expected to grow as the world’s population ages.
Why does this investment work?
The investment works because of:

- Appreciating nature of whisky.
- Ability to identify the whisky as your own.
Is there a limit to the amount of cases I am allowed to buy?
No, subject only to availability, the whisky we deal with is very highly rated and in limited in supply. We will do our best to fulfill your needs.
Can I increase my investment throughout the year?
Clients can increase their investment at anytime throughout the year by purchasing further cases.
What if I need to sell out during to the buyback period?
If you wish to sell the stock before the buyback period, written notice must be given to the Company. The return will be calculated based on the table provided in the Put/Call agreement.
Can I rollover my investment into further Cases?
Yes. You can either choose to receive the returns from the purchase price and purchase new stock or top up to purchase more.
Can I choose to keep my whisky?
In some circumstances we will allow you to keep some of the contents of your Cases. However, administration fees, excise duty & tax, packaging and bottling charges will be applied to the portion that you wish to keep.
Is stamp duty payable?
No. Stamp duty is not payable.
How do I know that my stock exists?
Cases and bottles are identified with unique identification numbers. An independent auditor is engaged by the Company annually to verify that the stock exists.
Have I got absolute title over my whisky stocks?
Yes, as identified by unique Case and bottle numbers, purchase contract and certificate of ownership.
Can I visit my Whisky while it is in storage?
Of course, provided you give us some advance notice so that we can organize an appointment for you.
Is my whisky insured?
Yes the insurance policy covers the purchase price of the stocks against fire, theft and breakage while held in bonded storage.
How does the global market for whisky affect me?
You have an irrevocable Put/Call agreement with the distributor which means that any fluctuation in the demand or price of your whisky has no bearing on your return.
Summary
Your investment offers a guaranteed return, and is a tangible asset. The Purchaser retains title to the Cases at all times. If the distributor were to become insolvent, an administrator will manage the sale of the stocks on the client’s behalf. To further ensure the client investment all purchases are stored in the client’s name at an independent third-party bonded warehouse.
